In the run-up to the 2021 Dutch parliamentary elections, Thinkaholic developed a web application where polls could be easily accessed. There are always many polls and we wanted to create a place where this was bundled. And as a bonus: you can easily figure out what coalition and opposition are possible.
Process.
The application is built in Django and hosted at Digital Ocean. Through the admin we can easily add new polls. The animation is an SVG image that we use CSS to change the colors once a user modifies something. Through AJAX calls, the changes are made immediately.
Final delivery.
The result is a web application where political polls can be consulted quickly and where one can easily check which coalitions are feasible. We hope to expand the tool to other elections soon and of course we will still post the latest polls on it.
